I have been trading stocks for years. In and out, out and in, using my own undisciplined technical analysis, allowing emotion to overcome logic (FOMO), and the worst, using HOPE and FAITH to will the direction of a stock price. Working a full-time job leaves little time for stock picking let alone watching a stock for the perfect setup or exit. I need a quick and effective way to screen, weed out, and select a good stock. I have decided to chronicle how I select a stock.
By no means is this checklist a complete guide to trading. It will be a living list. In fact, this is probably a bad idea. I can only imagine the smirks and chastising this will generate after a bad trade. Lets get this cleared up... I am learning. Learning at my own pace and will make horrible mistakes. This is my journey. Its purpose is to provide a high probability of profitability, to further my education, to help others in my shoes, to crowd source a working mans trading strategy, to provide myself with written rules, to provide the not-so ultimate guide to profit.... My typical trade is from a few days to a few weeks. The classic timeframe for a swing trade, but its not a swing. Its a mix of technical, fundamental, momentum, and some other shit trading. For a lack of better words (or knowledge), lets call it the C2M setup. Charts or watch lists will be posted along the way. Comments are welcome and may be integrated into the list. Again, this is a work in progress. Buying -- Best practices:
Selling -- If the any of following rules are true a position should be exited:
Wrap-up: This is not a beginners guide. Alot of the terms used have real meaning behind them. And of course the typical *use at your own risk*, I am not a professional stuff.
